Defined Ajna

You think in a fixed way, and it is reliable. The same mind meets every problem, which makes you consistent and can make you certain about things you have not actually re-examined in years.

Open or undefined Ajna

Your thinking flexes with the room. An open Ajna is genuinely able to hold several models at once, and its difficulty is the pressure to appear certain when certainty is not how you work.

The not-self theme: Pretending to be sure. An open Ajna under stress will manufacture a fixed opinion to feel safe.

What an open Ajna eventually becomes

Real mental flexibility. An open Ajna can understand a position it does not hold, which is rarer than it sounds.

This is the part most people miss. An open centre is not a deficiency to be fixed. It is where you take in and amplify other people, which is uncomfortable for years and then becomes the thing you understand better than anyone with it defined.

The gates of the Ajna

6 of the 64 gates sit in this centre. Each is also a Gene Key, read as a Shadow, a Gift and a Siddhi rather than as a mechanic.

Centres, gates and channels come from the same tables the bodygraph is drawn from. Human Design was assembled in 1987; Six Mirrors reads it beside five older systems and shows where they agree.
