Defined Spleen

You have a consistent instinct about what is safe, and it arrives in the moment, softly, and does not repeat itself. Splenic knowing is easy to miss precisely because it never argues.

Open or undefined Spleen

You amplify other people's fears and can hold on to things and people well past the point where your body knew to let go. An open Spleen is where the hardest to leave relationships live.

The not-self theme: Hanging on out of fear. Staying in a job, a place or a relationship because leaving feels dangerous rather than because staying feels right.

What an open Spleen eventually becomes

An open Spleen becomes very perceptive about health, fear and timing in others, having felt so much of it that was never its own.

This is the part most people miss. An open centre is not a deficiency to be fixed. It is where you take in and amplify other people, which is uncomfortable for years and then becomes the thing you understand better than anyone with it defined.

The gates of the Spleen

7 of the 64 gates sit in this centre. Each is also a Gene Key, read as a Shadow, a Gift and a Siddhi rather than as a mechanic.

Centres, gates and channels come from the same tables the bodygraph is drawn from. Human Design was assembled in 1987; Six Mirrors reads it beside five older systems and shows where they agree.
