The arc of Key 57

Unease is intuition felt as anxiety because it has not been trusted. Intuition here is the body knowing before the mind, and Clarity is what that knowing becomes when you stop arguing with it.

The two poles of Unease

A Shadow is never only one behaviour. Each has a repressive pole, where the energy collapses inward, and a reactive pole, where it fires outward. Most people live mainly in one and visit the other under stress, and recognising which is yours is where the contemplation actually starts.

Repressed, it overrides the body's signal with reasoning. Reactive, it treats every jolt of anxiety as prophecy.

Working with Unease

Unease and Intuition are not two different energies. They are the same one at two frequencies, which is why the instruction is never to replace unease with intuition. You watch unease run, without arguing with it, until it stops being automatic. What is on the other side of that watching is intuition, and clarity is the same thing again with nothing personal left in it.

Programming partner: Gene Key 51

Key 57 is paired with Key 51, which runs Agitation to Initiative to Awakening. Partners sit opposite each other on the wheel of 64 and always move together, so unease and agitation tend to show up in the same person, in the same week, feeding each other.

The useful way to read the pair: when intuition is hard to reach, the block is often sitting in agitation rather than anywhere in Key 57. And initiative is usually what makes intuition sustainable rather than occasional. Contemplating one without the other is the most common way this system gets used badly.

Where Key 57 sits in the body
